Most of the anxiety about ordering from a small overseas label is not about the clothes. It is about the bill at the door, the return that turns into a negotiation, and the vague sense that nobody is accountable. This page is where we set out exactly what we take on.
Nothing owed at your door
Duties and import taxes are calculated and settled before you check out, on both UK and EU orders. The price you see is the price you pay — there is no second invoice from a courier a week later.
We say where it is made
Every product page carries the same line: made in China, curated and delivered by LePont. We name the city the studio works from and, where it matters, the mill or the dye house. Provenance is the story here, not a liability to bury.
One process, Leeds to Lisbon
Free returns within 28 days, using one label and one process regardless of which side of the Channel you are on. Refunds are issued to the original payment method within five working days of arrival at our hub.
Guided, never delegated
Our compliance concierge helps designers meet European product rules — labelling, fibre composition, restricted substances, responsible-person details. The designer remains the responsible party, as European law requires. We make sure they know what that means before anything ships.
Honest about what we do not know
Where a studio can trace a fibre to a farm or a hide to a tannery, we say so. Where it cannot, we say that too. We would rather publish an incomplete supply chain than a tidy, invented one.
Small runs, on purpose
Most of the roster works in runs of under forty pieces. That is a constraint of how these studios make things rather than a marketing position — but it does mean very little of what we carry is produced speculatively.

- Remains the responsible party for their product under European law — composition, labelling, safety. That is not a clause we hide; it is how the law works, and any platform saying otherwise is setting a studio up.

- Runs the compliance concierge that tells them what is required, settles duties and taxes before checkout, imports and stores the goods, and handles delivery, returns and refunds.
- You
- Pay the price shown, and nothing after it. If anything about that turns out not to be true on your order, it is our problem to fix, not yours to chase.

The ones we are actually asked
No. Duties and import taxes are settled before checkout on both UK and EU orders. If a courier ever asks you for a payment on a LePont parcel, send it to us and we will deal with it and reimburse you.
Two to four working days across the UK and most of the EU, dispatched from our European hub. Complimentary over £130 in the UK and €150 in the EU; a flat fee below that.
Yes, on the same 28-day terms as everything else. Reduced pieces are usually the end of a small run rather than a clearance, and we treat them identically.
They are inspected and relisted. Nothing is destroyed. Where a piece cannot be resold as new, it goes to the studio's own archive or to our sample sale rather than to landfill.
