Who you contract with
You would buy from LePont, not from the designer directly. We import the goods, hold them in a European hub, and sell them to you as the merchant of record. That is why duties and returns are our problem rather than yours.
The designer remains responsible for the product itself under UK and EU product law. We are responsible for the sale, the delivery and the return.
Prices and currency
Prices are shown in pounds or euros depending on the region you have selected in the header. Each price is set for that currency rather than converted at checkout, so the figure you see is the figure you pay.
Import duties and taxes are included in the displayed price for both UK and EU delivery. Nothing further would be owed on arrival.
Availability
Most of the roster works in runs of under forty pieces, and dye lots are not repeated. A piece may sell out between your adding it to a bag and completing an order. Nothing is reserved by a wishlist.
If we cannot fulfil an order we would tell you within two working days and refund in full.
Returns and cancellation
You would have 28 days from delivery to return anything unworn, with tags, for a full refund — longer than the statutory 14-day EU cancellation period, and applying equally to reduced pieces.
Some characteristics are not faults: over-dyed indigo crocks and shifts colour, waxed cotton softens unevenly, and hand-dyed lots do not match between seasons. Every product page says so before you buy.
This demonstration site
No checkout exists here. No payment is collected, no order is placed, no account is created, and no form on this site transmits anything. Every designer, product, price and article is fictional placeholder content.
Governing law
A live version would be governed by the law of England and Wales, without affecting the mandatory consumer rights you hold in your country of residence.
